About the event

For their Pride 2025 commission sculptor and drag king Lady Kitt has turned an empty shop unit into a vibrant, multi sensory installation inspired by answers to the question:

“What do we need to remain Unapologetically Visible in troubled times?”

As part of their commission Kitt has run workshops with local LGBTQIA+ people. Through these, attendees have shared ideas of what they find restorative, supportive, care filled and inspiring. Their ideas and suggestions have been woven together to create the installation which takes its name from a collage made during workshops by attendee Mwenza Blell.

Kitt says of the installation “I hope it offers a space for pause, rest, connection and contemplation, amongst the action, activism, performance and celebration of Northern Pride.”
