Following the success of 2025’s Pride Fringe, Newcastle Pride is BACK with an opportunity for local artists to get involved in our annual creative commission.

Newcastle Pride will return to the heart of the city this summer, unveiling a powerful new theme and a refreshed vision shaped directly by the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community. At the official Newcastle Pride 2026 & Curious Futures Launch Business Breakfast on Wednesday 11th March, Curious Futures announced this year’s theme — “City of Hope, Streets of Joy” — alongside the findings of a public consultation that will help shape the future of Newcastle Pride.

Over 70,000 people engaged with the joy of Pride during this year’s festival, which returned to the heart of the city centre with its message of being ‘unapologetically visible’. 

Newcastle Pride is getting ready to welcome thousands of festivalgoers across the city centre for a weekend of celebrations (19 and 20 July).  Building on the success of last year’s event, which moved into the heart of Newcastle and saw record numbers with over 82,000 people engaging with the joy of pride, exciting new additions have been introduced for 2025.
