Newcastle Pride announces that this year’s Pride march will be proudly dedicated to the trans+ community, offering a message of hope, solidarity, and a call to action to end discrimination and challenge the rolling back of hard-fought rights for the trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse community.
In line with Newcastle Pride’s theme for 2025, ‘Unapologetically Visible’, the march is set to be attended by thousands of LGBTQIA+ community members, allies and business owners this July. The march has been able to be kept free and open to all thanks to partners like Newcastle International Airport.
The annual march will start from the Civic Centre at 12.00pm on Saturday 19 July, where attendees will walk down John Dobson Street. The march will then loop around to Blackett Street and Percy Street, heading back to the Civic Centre ahead of the celebrations and live entertainment commencing across the city.

LGBTQIA+ marches are more important than ever as hard-won rights face renewed threats around the world—from anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation to rising hate crimes and censorship. These marches are not just celebrations; they are vital acts of visibility, resistance, and solidarity. They remind society that equality is far from guaranteed and that LGBTQIA+ people deserve safety, dignity, and full inclusion. In a time of growing polarisation, these public gatherings send a powerful message: we will not be silenced, and progress must continue.
This year’s march is sponsored by Newcastle International Airport as part of its ‘Flying with Pride’ initiative. With more than 80 direct destinations, over 300 one-stop destinations and 5.2 million passengers last year, Newcastle International Airport is committed to promoting and embedding equality and diversity at every level.
Alice Andreasen, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Newcastle International Airport said: “We are proud to be partnering with Newcastle Pride for their annual march in the city and to be celebrating Newcastle’s trans+ community. As an organisation we are committed to promoting equality and supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community through our ‘Flying with Pride’ initiative, and these values underpin everything we do. We’re looking forward to joining the local people of Newcastle for this powerful moment during Pride weekend.”

Ste Dunn, director of Northern Pride said: “We are really grateful to have Newcastle International Airport as our march partner for Newcastle Pride 2025. Our annual march is a highlight of the Pride Festival each year, as a chance to bring the LGBTQIA+ community together to be bold, loud and unapologetically visible. It’s such a fulfilling feeling to work with local businesses such as Newcastle International Airport who share our ambitions and hope for the people of the North East.”
Last year’s march saw 16,500 people walk with Pride through the streets of Newcastle, celebrating the message of resilience, unity and compassion. Newcastle Pride hopes this year’s march will continue to amplify this message, as the community faces growing challenges and adversity, and help shape a safer and welcoming society for everyone under the trans+ umbrella.
The Newcastle Pride march is a highly anticipated element of the festival, which continues to be free for those who take part.

I've recently been looking at the development of online entertainment platforms and noticed that users are increasingly choosing services that combine convenience with a wide range of features. Key advantages include easy navigation, quick access to different categories, and the ability to comfortably use the platform from any device. My advice is to consider not only the variety of content but also the overall user experience when choosing such services: how easy it is to navigate the system, quickly find the features you slots shine casino need, and how comfortable it is to interact with the platform on a daily basis 🫠
Honestly, the part about 7a0 Newcastle International Airport supporting the march so it’s free and open to all? That's really cool; it makes a huge difference, especially with threats to LGBTQIA+ rights. Saw this on my lunch break and found it quite inspiring to see businesses actually stepping up.
This is a thoughtful and powerful initiative—it's inspiring to see how Newcastle Pride continues to support and uplift the trans community through visibility, solidarity, and inclusive events. The dedication of the march highlights how important representation and community connection truly are in today’s world.
On a lighter note, fashion also plays a role in self-expression, and Noel Fielding’s outfit collections perfectly reflect that same bold individuality—blending creativity, color, and personality in a way that stands out just like these meaningful movements.
